This author applies his journalistic talents to a subject that he takes seriously and personally: how various churches across the United States relate to LGBT people. He also includes what some gay/lesbian churchgoers (and no longer churchgoers) have to say about their faith and their experiences with churches. He chronicles a wide range of interactions that show how some churches are devolving and some are evolving, on a continuum from outspoken persecution of gay/lesbian sexual identity to full inclusion of LGBT people in the life of the church.Here are some of my favorite quotes:> “I doubt.
